We hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.
Firstly, we would like to thank all of our lovely SoccerBears families for sticking with us during what has been a very challenging time for small businesses. We would like to take this opportunity to update you all on our plans to re-open SoccerBears classes in the near future.
As you are aware, guidelines are still very strict at this time and the FA is working closely with the government to keep us all up-to-date on when and how we can operate again safely. Things are moving quickly, and as we await further instruction on easing of restrictions within grassroots football from the 25th July, we would like to inform you of how we envisage classes starting again.
Term will resume on Friday 4th September (8 week term), and Sunday 6th September (8 week term) for all age groups and classes. We would love to be able to resume drop in sessions during August if guidelines change and our venues allow. At the moment, both of our Mill Hill venues are working hard to make the spaces safe to allow for re-opening so we will update you if that is an option.
Those who have paid for terms will have full credit to redeem against the September term, and you will be automatically transferred into the same classes – please inform us if your child has had a birthday and needs to move up a class. We won’t be taking any new bookings for the September term to accommodate all previous cubs.
From September (subject to review) we will be implementing the following rules and procedures:
– Temperature testing our coaches before every session.
– If a child/parent is symptomatic, living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection or if you are classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds, the guidance is that you should remain at home and credit/refunds will be issued on an individual basis.
– Extra hygiene measures will be put in place, with sanitiser available at all sessions, and further cleaning of equipment in between sessions.
We wish you all well,
Richard and the whole team at SoccerBears
